TDSi by Hirsch: A New Chapter Built on 40 Years of Trust

The first few weeks of a new year often bring fresh energy and renewed purpose, and for us at TDSi, 2026 marks an especially important milestone. On 1st January, we officially became TDSi by Hirsch – a change that reflects our closer alignment with Hirsch Group following Vitaprotech’s transition to the Hirsch name. It’s a moment that connects our proud 40‑year legacy in access control with a broader, more unified global vision.

While the name has evolved, the essence of who we are, and how we work, remains exactly the same. Our customers and partners will continue to experience the same trusted team, the same technology-led approach, and the same commitment to delivering reliable, flexible, and secure access control solutions. This is an evolution, not a departure, and it opens the door to exciting opportunities for everyone we work with.

Strengthening a shared legacy

TDSi has long been recognised for its robust, integrated access control systems and its ability to support organisations across a wide range of sectors, from education and healthcare to commercial real estate and critical infrastructure. One of the most important messages I want to emphasise is that our customers will not experience disruption. The people you speak to today will be the same people supporting you tomorrow, and our product roadmap remains firmly in place. Our commitment to quality, reliability, and openness continues to guide everything we do, and our partner‑led model -central to our success for decades – remains unchanged.

In short, it’s very much business as usual. The relationships we’ve built, the expertise we’ve developed, and the trust we’ve earned over 40 years all remain at the heart of TDSi by Hirsch.

Where this evolution becomes truly exciting is in what it enables. By aligning more closely with Hirsch Group, we can now offer a more complete edge‑to‑core suite of security solutions. This means customers can benefit from a broader technology ecosystem that spans access control, secure identity, intrusion detection, perimeter protection and more. It also opens the door to greater integration possibilities, enabling organisations to unify their security infrastructure more effectively.

With a larger pool of expertise working collaboratively across the group, we can accelerate development and bring new capabilities to market more quickly. With a stronger global footprint, our partners and customers gain access to deeper expertise and wider support.

As we move forward as TDSi by Hirsch, my focus is on ensuring that our customers and partners continue to feel supported, informed, and confident in the direction we’re heading. We will continue to invest in our products, our people, and our partnerships. We will continue to champion open, integrated access control, and we will continue to build on the trust that has defined TDSi for more than four decades.

As part of this next chapter, we are also actively investing in the continued growth of our team and capabilities. We have recently welcomed two new Area Business Development Managers, strengthening our support for partners and customers across the UK. At the same time, we are placing a renewed focus on export sales, enabled by a dedicated team of Regional Managers who will help expand our reach and build stronger relationships in key international markets. This investment reflects our ambition to grow sustainably while maintaining the service and expertise that TDSi is known for.

This is an exciting chapter, one that strengthens our foundations while expanding our horizons. I’m proud of what we’ve built, and I’m even more excited about what we will achieve together as an integral part of Hirsch Group.
