TDSi Staff Donate £1,500 to Autism Charity
Staff from access control specialist TDSi took part in a number of events and activities during 2009 raising an impressive total of £1,500 for The Wessex Autistic Society (TWAS), the company’s nominated ‘Charity of the Year’.
Supporting the charity throughout the year, staff raised money by taking part in sponsored swims, entering teams in TWAS events and quiz nights and actively participating in the Society’s annual ‘Give Cash not Cards’ Christmas campaign.
John Davies Managing Director of TDSi said: “We are delighted to have raised money for such a worthwhile local charity. The Wessex Autistic Society does such important work across the region and with the recession threatening to hit charities hard, we felt it was important to do our bit.
“Each year we invite staff to nominate a charity which has a particular resonance, either because of the activities it carries out in our region or because its work has touched members our team; this then forms the focus of our fundraising activities throughout the year. I’m incredibly proud of everyone at TDSi who raised money for this hard-working organisation, helping it to continue to deliver charitable services for people with autism and their families”.
Debbie Anderson, Fundraising and Marketing Manager at TWAS said: “We are thrilled with our corporate relationship with TDSi and their generous contribution. We have wonderful supporters who have raised money for us in many ways throughout 2009 and are all looking forward to making sure 2010 is a prosperous new year for the charity, raising money to help us continue to deliver our vital services”.
