Intersec Stand 4805C
Access control specialist TDSi is to showcase a range of its market-leading products and systems at the Intersec trade fair and conference being held in Dubai in January.
On display will be a wide range of the company’s readers, controllers and software systems, including recent developments in its biometric and software ranges.
Following the successful introduction of its DIGIgarde finger print reader, TDSi has now launched an extension to the range in the form of DIGIgarde Smart. This new product allows cardholders’ finger print data to be stored directly on a MIFARE® smart card, rather than on the reader itself, thereby allowing the user to retain possession of their biometric data rather than having it held by a third party. Operation is straightforward; users simply present their cards to the DIGIgarde reader which uploads their template and then matches it to the scanned fingerprint. If the scan matches the template, access is granted.
As data is not held by the reader, operation is fast (without compromising accuracy or safety) and there are no limits to the number of users. DIGIgarde Smart also effectively increases security by requiring two forms of identification - card and finger.
Also on display will be the latest release of EXgarde, TDSi’s advanced integrated access management software platform. Proven in applications across the world to deliver outstanding access and integrated security systems management, EXgarde has now been upgraded to deliver a number of significant improvements in usability.
Tried and tested and with proven reliability, the core EXgarde system remains unchanged, with the new version (V3) bringing some key changes to the user interface, enabling information to be located and retrieved more quickly, and a wide range of standard tasks to be performed in simple steps.
This new version offers unparalleled integration capabilities, providing users with a flexible and dynamic platform. Through the use of a suite of database tools, EXgarde delivers seamless integration with a wide range of proprietary and bespoke systems such as HR, Payroll, Time and Attendance and CCTV applications delivering the capability for complete building and security management and so the potential for considerable resource savings, in terms of both time and cost.
Commenting on the company’s presence at Intersec, John Davies, TDSi’s Managing Director, said: “Having introduced a number of major product developments and range enhancements in the last 12 months, Intersec provides a great platform for us to demonstrate our range of solutions. We have exhibited at Intersec for the last five years, and I’m looking forward to welcoming visitors back to our stand in January to demonstrate not only our new DIGIgarde and EXgarde products, but also some significant developments to MICROgarde and our reader ranges.”
