Based on the proven Mifare smartcard platform, this reader is able to read the unique chip serial number (CSN) from any Mifare card. It is particularly useful for applications where either it is not possible to use any of the sectors on the Mifare card for access control purposes, or if an existing system is already using the CSN for identification.
